The right choice when building your home in the Waikato region.

Welcome to WMBA.

The Waikato Registered Master Builders Association welcomes you to our website. We hope you find our website helpful. Please contact the Association for additional information you may require.

There are 22 Registered Master Builders Associations throughout New Zealand and the Waikato is the fourth largest. Our membership consists of some of the top building companies from throughout New Zealand. Most of our members can offer a variety of expertise and skills and our range varies from the small addition of a deck to the large commercial projects. Our members pride themselves on building excellence and the professional delivery of a high standard of workmanship at all times.

All the Associations are affiliated to Registered Master Builders Federation. Nationally our members represent over 65% of every dollar spent on construction in New Zealand and 80% of the public prefer to use a Registered Master Builder.

We are proud of our heritage which dates back more than 75 years. In our early years we were originally known as the Builders and Contractors Association. The first meeting of the Hamilton Master Builders was held on 7th March 1935.

BUILDING A FUTURE

November 27, 2011waikatomb

There has never been a better time to build, industry experts believe, with interest rates low and tradesmen and suppliers competing for work.

But it’s not going to stay that way, they warn, with the Christchurch quake rebuild, leaky building works and a housing shortage in Auckland expected to attract tradesmen from around the country.

On top of that is a predicted shortage of land due to a slowdown in development and many struggling tradesmen leaving New Zealand or changing careers.
